Annette has been teaching Russian Technique Ballet (Vaganova Method) and Ballet specifically geared to the needs of the figure skater for over 40 years and has dedicated herself to providing her students with the very highest quality in classical ballet training. This is the method which was founded by Agrippina Y. Vaganova and continues to be used to train the very top dancers world wide. Annette also teaches Floor-Barre, body alignment, somatics and injury prevention as part of every class she teaches.
Annette received a Certificate of Completion of the First Class Pedagogical Course for the Study of Classical Ballet in 2005 from one of America’s leading pedagogues Dr. Peggy Willis-Aarnio. Also Certified by Janet L. Springer in 2023 who was John Barker's leading pedagogue (Both Dr. Willis and John Barker having studied directly with Kostrovitskaya)

The course covers methodology, injury prevention and level I syllabus. In this class, Annette will ensure the student receives a foundation in the meticulous training of teaching the fundamentals of the first year of Vaganova methodology. The first year training is the basis and foundation to all proceeding work and thus the most important to establish.

Based on the Vaganova Teaching Method using somatics, Pilates, and various science based injury prevention techniques, theses private lesson are geared toward the individual needs of the student.
